Martin Luther King Jr. Drive & Buckeye Road
(City of Cleveland Wards 4 & 6)

Expect additional traffic notices as work progresses

CLEVELAND – Pipeline infrastructure improvements begin on Monday, January 22, 2018, weather permitting. It includes work on the following street:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Drive – East side from Dickens Avenue to a point 100’ North of Buckeye Road.

The project scope is to replace the old steel mainline with new steel mainline in the sidewalk and treelawn areas prior to the City of Cleveland’s February 2018 project on Martin Luther King Boulevard. One lane of traffic, in each direction, will be maintained during construction with traffic control personnel in the work zone(s) directing traffic.

A Law Enforcement Officer (L.E.O.) will be present at all signalized intersections.  Access to adjacent driveways will be maintained throughout construction and the work will take place Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This project is scheduled for completion in April 2018.  Restoration will be coordinated with the City of Cleveland Office of Capital Projects. If permanent concrete cannot be placed due to weather or due to work on the Capital project, 2” temporary concrete will be placed to provide a walkable surface until permanent sidewalk can be installed.

Should there be any questions, contact Dennis Scheid - Hill International at (216)701-2319.

Editor’s Note: Road construction invariably presents hazards to the public. All travelers are urged to use caution in construction zones. Public safety and the safety of workers is a top priority.
