Expect additional traffic notices as improvements continue

CLEVELAND – On April 2, 2018, the City will move to the next phase of the Circle Drive Reconstruction Project from Mayfield Road north to East 116th Street. This phase will include pavement removal, new pavement, sidewalks, and a pull off lane on the north side of Mayfield Road between Circle Drive and East 117th Street. Two-way traffic will be maintained (one lane in each direction) on Mayfield Road. Access to Circle Drive north of Mayfield will need to be scheduled in advance with the City’s Contractor. The duration of the sewer work on Mayfield Road is expected to last approximately six weeks.

The Circle Drive Reconstruction Project extends approximately 400 feet north from Mayfield Road to East 116th Street and approximately 400 feet east on Mayfield Road. The improvements include new pavement, drainage, asphalt resurfacing, installation of Americans with Disabilities Act compliant ramps, curb and sidewalks, new pavement markings, and pavement widening on the north side of Mayfield Road. The work will take place during daytime hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The project’s construction cost is $1.268 million. It is scheduled for completion by July 31, 2018. Should there be any questions, please contact the City of Cleveland Chief Inspector, Traci Hartnett Mercado at 216-857-5447.
