Detroit Avenue to Father Caruso Drive
Monday, July 30, 2018
(City of Cleveland - Ward 15)

CLEVELAND – On July 30, 2018 the City will begin improvements on West 69th Street by resurfacing the area between Detroit Avenue and Father Caruso Drive.  Phase I of the project will commence approximately 150 feet south of Herman Avenue to Father Caruso Drive. One-way traffic northbound will be maintained in this phase of construction. Access to all residential properties will be maintained. A detour route for southbound traffic will proceed north on West 69th Street, west on Father Caruso Drive, south on West 70th Street, and then onto Detroit Avenue.

Signage will be in place on either end of the project informing the public of the construction work. Phase I work is estimated to be complete in November 2018. Phase II work will begin in spring 2019.

The West 69th Street Improvement Project limits are approximately 0.40 miles from Detroit Avenue to Father Caruso Drive. The improvements include new pavement, drainage, asphalt resurfacing, and installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant ramps, curbs and sidewalks where needed, and new pavement markings. The work will take place during daytime hours Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The work is scheduled for completion in June 2019.  Should there be any questions, please contact the City of Cleveland Chief Inspector, Traci Hartnett Mercado at 216-857-5447.

Editor’s Note: Road construction invariably presents hazards to the public. All travelers are urged to use caution in construction zones. Public safety and the safety of workers is a top priority.
