Detroit Avenue to Father Frascati 
Traffic Update 

Expect additional traffic notices as improvements continue

CLEVELAND – As part of ongoing improvements, West 73rd Street from Detroit Avenue to Herman Avenue will be closed on Monday, August 28, 2017, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  West 73rd Street southbound will be closed to vehicular traffic from Detroit Avenue to Herman Avenue.   A traffic detour will be posted using Herman Avenue westbound to West 76th Street southbound to Lake Avenue eastbound to Detroit Avenue eastbound. Local traffic will be maintained off Detroit Avenue for residents and businesses between Detroit and Herman.  

Note: This closure will be required for one day from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  

The West 73rd Street project extends along a 0.26 mile section of West 73rd Street from Detroit Avenue to Father Frascati Drive.  The improvements include pavement, curbs, and sidewalks, stamped concrete crosswalks, installation of Americans with Disabilities Act compliant ramps, electrical and communication duct banks, and new pavement markings. 

The construction cost is $1.76 million and is scheduled for completion in June 2018.
