Registration Now Open for Summer 2019 Neighborhood Resource & Recreation Programs

Registration for expanded Summer 2019 programming at the City of Cleveland’s newly rebranded Neighborhood Resource & Recreation Centers (NRRCs) is now open. The City’s 22 NRRCs will offer enhanced intergenerational programming to more holistically serve Cleveland families. Registration is available in person or online at

Some class sizes are limited and early registration is advised. All programs are free.

New programs include ACT/SAT prep, STEM workshops, Job & Career Readiness Training, Ballet, Chess and more.

  • Students Invited to Apply for Mayor Frank G. Jackson Scholarship Program

    Mayor Frank G. Jackson Scholarship applications are available to City of Cleveland employees, dependents of City of Cleveland employees, high school seniors graduating from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, and high school seniors who are in the Youth Development Program or involved with the City of Cleveland Department of Recreation. The scholarship application process is open until April 28.

  • Mayor Frank G. Jackson Issues Proclamation in Recognition of Earth Day 2019

    Mayor Frank G. Jackson issued a proclamation in recognition of Earth Day 2019. The proclamation reads in part: “On behalf of the citizens of Cleveland I am honored to offer this proclamation in recognition of Earth Day being held on April 22, 2019. Earth Day is an annual reminder of the need for environmental activism, stewardship commitments, and sustainability efforts. Living and growing as a sustainable city will ensure Cleveland’s longevity.”

  • Cleveland Joins Wyland Foundation National Water Conservation Campaign

    The City of Cleveland welcomed the return of marine life artist and conservationist Wyland at an event at Davis Aerospace and Maritime School. The artist - known for his 30,000 square foot marine life mural on the Cleveland Public Power Building  - visited the city to kick-off his annual national outreach effort for water conservation with an eco-fair, guest lecture, and an inspirational day of mural painting with local students. The announcement included plans to refresh the city’s iconic “whale wall” mural.

  • Registration Now Open for Summer Activities for Youth to Senior Residents

    Seasonal activities at City of Cleveland Recreation Centers include organized sports, playground activities, performance arts, camping, and more. Activities are designed for participants from the very young to Seniors.
