Cleveland Police Seeks Residents to Serve as School Crossing Guards

The Cleveland Division of Police is accepting applications for school crossing guards. Duties include helping children safely cross streets to get to their public, parochial and charter schools for about an hour in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. Generally, hours are from 7-8 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. on school days. Compensation is $20.50/day and employees are eligible for health care through the City of Cleveland. There are about 40 crossing guard positions available of more than 400 around the city.
