Red for Heart Health

The Cleveland Department of Public Health and the American Heart Association (AHA) kicked off American Heart Month with their annual Wear Red Day event. Mayor Frank G. Jackson and City of Cleveland employees showed their support for National Wear Red Day in Cleveland City Hall by donning red apparel to bring awareness to both the risk factors and prevention of heart disease.

The City of Cleveland, in collaboration with the AHA, will continue this campaign with a Go Red for Women event that will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20 in the City Hall rotunda from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The on-site health fair will include vendors, heart health information and activities, free health screenings, chair massages and more.
