Division of Special Events

Department of Public Works

Organizations, churches, schools, or individuals can apply for use of City property for special events such as reunions, birthday parties, photo shoots, or weddings and other ceremonies.

These locations may have restrictions on capacity, time, and/or food and beverages, and the hiring of security may be required as a condition of permit eligibility.

In order to have an event considered for a permit, completed applications must be received 14 days prior to the event.

Organizations hosting large-scale events that require a variety of City services should contact the Office of Special Events using the information above. Organizations hosting activities that are open to the public may have the event details and contact information published on the City's calendar through the Division of Special Events and Marketing.

The Division of Special Events and Marketing issues special-use permit applications for Cemeteries, the City Hall Rotunda, Malls B & C, Parks and Playgrounds, Public Square, Cultural Gardens, and the Rockefeller Park Greenhouse.
